A Business Analyst is like a highly paid ‘nurse’.
Updated: Jun 22, 2020
A nurses’ job is to understand what illness a patient has and pass the information over to the Doctor. The nurse would then manage the status of the patient’s health between both stake holders (Doctor and the Patient).
In terms of a project you are a nurse i.e. Business Analyst, the patient is the Senior Stakeholder who needs updates on progress and the Doctor is the IT Department (who will help resolve any issues). Senior Stakeholders don’t necessarily understand the technical terms of an IT Department. This is where a Business Analyst comes in, to help bridge the gap between the two.
HOW DO I BECOME A BUSINESS ANALYST? I’VE GOT NO EXPERIENCE IN THAT FIELD!
The role of a Business Analyst is very generic, it is applicable in every industry. The aim should be to become a specialist in a specific field/area - So, you are the ‘go to’ person in a niche area. This way you are known for something rather than nothing.
Many people think they must be ready to achieve greater things in life. But they should ask themselves the question – What does it mean to be ready… Do you have to be ready to earn more? Or be ready to create a more stable future for yourself? No? – I didn’t think so!
Don’t dwell upon being ready, take the high road and be ready for the world to welcome you!
